Tub is deflating/won't hold airUpdated 2 months ago

Here’s a quick step-by-step process you can try to help correct the shape and ensure the tub holds its form and firmness:

Step 1 – Tighten the Air Valve

Here is a picture of the air valve at the bottom of this email.  Every PRO/MAX tub box includes a plastic wrench that tightens the air valve on both the lid and the body of the tub.  Simply take the wrench, open the cover of the air valve, place it into the valve and twist clockwise to tighten.

Step 2 – Don't Press the Switch in the Air Valve

The centerpiece of the air valve is used to deflate the tub.  When screwing the air pump into the tub, make sure you do not press it inwards, which can push down the air switch thereby deflating the tub.

Step 3 – Even Out Pressure

Make sure the air pump nozzle is fully seated into the valve for a tight seal. Inflate until the walls feel firm but not overinflated too much pressure can cause bulging.

Step 4 – Inflate in Stages

Refill the tub with air gradually rather than all at once. Start by inflating to about 50% capacity, then gently shape the sides with your hands to guide the material into place. After that, bring it up to full firmness.

*IF problems persist, Deflate & Reset

Fully release the air from the tub so the walls can relax back into their natural position. This helps remove tension from the material and smooth out any initial creases.  Leave the tub fully inflated for 24 hours before adding water. This helps the vinyl adapt to its shape and minimizes creases.  Once you’ve tried this process, the sides should appear more uniform and the lid should fit properly.
