How to use my chiller with a bathtub/random tubUpdated 2 months ago
Our chiller is primarily designed to go along with any of our Polar Dive tubs, but we too like using it in bathtubs or other random bodies of water. The chiller & tub setup is designed to allow gravity to create the water flow/pressure into the chiller. 99% of tubs with an 'in' and 'out' designated connection valve will supply enough gravitational pressure to make this happen.
However, when these valves are not present like in a bath tub or any body of water you'd like to toss both tubes into, you'll just need to attach one of our pumps to the 'water in' tube. That's it!
We've designed the chiller to work with this super simple 'submersible setup' as we call it, to ensure you can keep plunging with absolutely any tub, bathtub or body of water. In this video, you'll see the proper setup where you can take your water-proof pump and just drop it right into the tub. This guarantees a flawless setup without any leaking. And don't worry, all tubing is extremely waterproof and well insulated to ensure there is zero risk associated with this setup.
If you have a V6 series chiller (pump/filter mounted on the outside), this setup is super simple just like the video above. If you have a V8 or PRO chiller (pump/filter built into the chiller), you can purchase the exterior pump that will allow you to use this same setup and convert any body of water into a cold plunge with your chiller! We'll send you a little adapter as well that will connect your hose to the new pump. Now you can turn any tub on earth into a cold plunge!
