Chiller is not turning on or is having power issuesUpdated 2 months ago
Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear your chiller isn’t powering on as expected.
Sometimes if the chiller isn’t turning on or isn’t cooling properly, it’s due to power supply issues. Here are a few quick tips that usually solve it right away:
Please try plugging the chiller directly into a grounded interior wall outlet (without using any extension cords or adapters). Give it a moment after connecting and you should hear the unit power up or see the display screen come on.
Avoid outdoor outlets or shared circuits that might have voltage drops (like those shared with fridges or pumps).
Reset the outlet if it's a GFCI (you'll see a little reset button — press that and try again).
Double-check that the power cord is firmly plugged in at both ends — sometimes it can look connected but not be fully seated.
If your home is older or in a rural area, power may fluctuate — in that case, using a voltage regulator can help keep things stable.
This simple step often resolves power issues, especially if the original outlet is on a lower amp circuit or affected by weather exposure.
If the issue continues after testing a direct connection, let us know right away — we’re happy to troubleshoot further or assist with next steps. Thank you again for your patience and for being a Polar Dive customer!
